Chemist accused of killing husband

A New Jersey chemist is accused of killing her husband by poisoning him with thallium, a highly toxic metal that is both odorless and colorless.

On Jan. 14, Wang checked himself into the hospital with mysterious flu-like symptoms, and doctors were only able to identify the cause of condition when a nurse recalled similar poisoning cases from China in the 1990's.

The diagnosis came eleven days after he checked himself into the hospital, but on the twelfth day Wang fell into a coma and died.

Tianle Li, who works for Bristol-Myers Squibb, was reportedly distraught by a difficult divorce from her husband, Xiaoye Wang.

The couple also have a 2-year-old child.
