Farrah Fawcett swimsuit in Smithsonian

The little red number that took the dowdy out of one-piece bathing suits  was among the possessions of the late actress donated to the Smithsonian. Ex-boyfriend Ryan O’Neal  was on hand for the ceremony. Fawcett was 62 when she died in 2009.

Color terror alert system out

It's been a punch line for years, and starting tomorrow, the color-coded terror alert system in our airports will start getting phased out.

Government officials say, by the end of April, it won't be used at all. There won't be any more signs telling you the threat level is orange. Instead, the Department of Homeland Security will just make announcements when threat levels are higher. The color-coded system has been under review for more than a year.
